Yes there are some negatives to the book. It is poorly written, like someone didn't bother proofreading it. A lot about God and religion which may rub some people the wrong way and sometimes just seems over the top and unrealistic as well as contains a few shameless plugs for the author. However those negatives are easily overlooked by the message of the book and what seems to be genuine care for the readers and their choices and actions in their relationships. It took less than 3 hours to read, was cheap, but for me it accomplished a personal commitment to integrity and honesty in whatever relationships I happen to be in. Yeah should have been common sense but it hasn't been. Thank you dear author for some sound advice and thoughtful approach to the subject of love.Product details

I LOVED this book! It was awesome and seriously made me realize what I've done wrong in the past and still doing wrong now. I want to change and like Terry said it starts with self! I'm ready for my King and I'm ready to get over the past and move forward with the man I want in my life. I will definitely be applying what I've read and learned in my current situation. Thanks for this book! Can't wait to read more of your work!!
I'm 3/4 way through the book. At this point I can say, I would have so much more respect for the author and appreciation for the book if it were grammatically correct and free of typos. Other than that, it's well put together and interesting enough to hold my attention. Filled will a lot of good advice. I am definitely going to finish it today on day 2. Just wish I could give it 5 stars. Not sure if the author has more books, but I would definitely read another.
This book was somewhat of a wake up call for me. I definitely seem where things went wrong in my last relationship. This book has also given me wise advice that I will carry to the next.
I read the introduction before buying this book. I thought this was the laws of dating based on godly principles which is not the case. If you are looking for spiritual advice then try another other. This book was not what I thought it was.
I really loved this book. He speaks with such wisdom about the REAL life situations and real thoughts woman have. How to take those thoughts and look at things differently. Its not even 100% geared for woman. I believe men could read this and really take something from it. I truly adore how he incorporated God VERY well in this book. This book i assure you won't waste your time. You will be able to relate somewhere somehow to something in this book. It gives hope and I will be defiantly re reading this book a few time.
This book really gives a different perspective on dating, relationships and marriage. I am overjoyed right now as I have just finished it and it has brought tears to my eyes.I now can go and evaluate myself as a woman. I more importantly respect that God was used throughout this novel and that Law 21 is the most important law in the entire book. We need God first so that our path, whom he designed can be ordered by his steps. God has blessed Mr. Bams with an amazing gift and the examples after every law just puts it all into perspective. May God bless you to continue to help more people throughout the world. I will definitely be ordering all of these books.
"21 Laws of Dating" was a very insightful book. I really enjoyed it. What I loved about it the most was the novel format with truths and interpretations of each of the laws. Upon reading the cover, I did not expect a novel format; I expected more of a "rule" books with 21 "steps" (y'all know the books I'm talking about). Regardless, the story of Aaron and Jessica encouraged me quite a bit, and it helped me see a totally different side to relationships. It gave me hope for one day finding a great man like Aaron in this story. Another added bonus was the urban literature. It helped me relate more to what was going on in the book because I am very familiar with urban culture.
Although this has some great reminders, I was a little skeptical of law #6 which concerns the power of sex. I understand that not everyone is waiting until marriage for sex, but there are some that are. I do believe that although this is not a perfect world, there are some who would rather wait until marriage. However, I am thankful that Terry exposed the reality that even though an unmarried couple has sex, it doesn't always mean that they aren't in love. Most couples who have sex end the relationship, but it was nice to see an example of two people who still work it out and get married.
All in all, this is a good read, especially if you are really into novels.
